ONION PAKODA

 

 

Ingredients

Onions - 2

Chilli powder – ¼  tsp

Garam masala - ½ tsp

Besan – ½ - ¾  cup

Turmeric powder -a pinch

Baking soda - a pinch

Salt - as required

Oil - for frying



Method

1. Cut onions into thin lengthwise slices.


2. Add salt and rub well onto the onions. (leave it aside for 5-10 minutes)


3. Now mix ingredients 2-7 and add to the sliced onions


4. Add minimum water possible (adding salt to the onions in the beginning brings out water in the onions).


5.Take 1 tbsp of the mix and drop in hot oil. Fry till brown.


6.Serve hot with ketchup or any chutney.
