INDIAN COOKING - A BIRDS EYE VIEWIndian cooking is an art handed over from parents to children over generations. Its mind boggling variety, vary from North to South and East to West of India. However the basic spices are an integral part of most dishes. My aim is to gently introduce the beginner to some of its tasty dishes primarily concentrating on South Indian dishes and occasional foray into North Indian dishes. I will be demonstrating both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. You will be confident in making a four course meal at the end of the journey. This will also be supplemented with simple dishes which are ideal with tea/coffee or a drink. I am Psychology graduate with Indian roots who fell in love with cooking in my university days and learnt a lot from my mother, mother in law and friends. My husband and my children have been my critics but actively encouraged me. Having lived in Malaysia, India, Iran and United Kingdom has had a major influence in my style of cooking. |
